Ashfield caters for children between the ages of 7 and 11 years. Most of the children transfer directly from our feeder school, Merry Hill Infant and Nursery School.
It is in the classroom that our children can truly flourish and meet their potential. During the Junior Years we encourage the children to become more independent learners. We want children to become more resilient, show respect, be kind and be cooperative. We want children to be inspired to dream big and have high aspirations, be extraordinary and to change the world.
We want our children to develop a love for learning and to develop a growth mind-set so that they are able to acheive whatever they wish to. Our children will learn to persevere, embrace challenges, work cooperatively with others, learn from mistakes, always work hard and be reflective learners. They learn to consider things from different perspectives; with thinking skills that contribute to effective problem-solving and decision-making in all aspects of life, preparing them well for the next stage in their education.
