Ashfield is able to offer the following clubs this academic year.   To book a place for your child for any of the after-school clubs listed below, please click on the tabs on the side of this page.

Art Club is run by Mrs Anna Howard on a Wednesday and Thursday.

Does your child like to play chess?  If yes, or if you are curious about learning how to play, come and join our after-school Chess Club.

Chess Club is run by Mr Javier Moruno Gilabert on a Monday and Wednesday.

Love singing? Fancy being part of a choir?  If yes and you  would like to have some fun, come and join our school choir.  Our school choir runs after school on a Tuesday from 3:30pm to 4:15pm and is led by Miss Agnew, a teacher from Herts Music Service.

Our School Choir is often over subscribed and we can only take a maximum number of 25 children.  To join the school choir, look out for the school letter via SchoolComms giving information on how to join or enquire at the School Office.

Our after-school sports provision is provided by The Elms Sports in Schools and we have been working in partnership with them for over 10 years.

Elms Sport in Schools

Our School Council have been busy asking children what after-school clubs they would like to see.   As a result,  we are very excited to offer a Dance Club at Ashfield Junior School.

Do you want to learn how to Dance?  Our Street / Hip Hop  Dance Club will run on a Friday afternoon (3:20pm to 4:00pm).  If you are interested in joining, come along!  Please contact Vanessa School of Dance for further information.

New exciting Jam Coding Computing after-school club starting in September 2023.

At Jam Coding, our goal is to help improve children’s digital skills.  This game building workshop will teach children how to code and build their very own 3D computer game.  Children will have fun creating interactive animations and games using visual coding.  Working in teams, they will learn how to think logically and solve problems.  At the end of the course, all children will receive a certificate and one team will receive a trophy!

From September 2023, Year 5 children will be able to attend an after-school club run by MTT which provides tuition for Maths and Verbal Reasoning for the 11+ assessments.  Further information on how to join this after-school club can be found on the flyer.
