The School Council is a group of children chosen by each class to represent them. We meet once a fortnight to discuss issues and improvements that can be made to the school.

School Council Project – Tesco Stronger Starts Funding
The School Council have worked hard this year. They did a survey across the school to see what playground equipment we should buy from the Tesco Stronger Starts funding that we were awarded. They brought a number of different play equipment for the bottom playground with the highest votes including hula hoops, basketballs, netballs, skipping ropes, cup and ball, ankle skipping ropes, outdoor chalk boards, balance beam and a buddy bench.
This has made a fantastic contribution to improve the lunchtime provision at Ashfield and the children have a range of activities that they can do to keep themselves busy. It has improved lunchtimes for all children – those who want to be active with ball sports on the top playground, and quieter games on the bottom playground. Children have been using the buddy bench to socialise with one another. Thank you for the funding Tescos!
