It was a wonderful event. The children did wonderfully and competed brilliantly. As has become an Ashfield tradition, they demonstrated fair play, and showed the school values of kindness, cooperation, respect and resilience throughout.
A huge thank you to all the parents, carers and other adults who came and supported their children as they competed, to all the staff that ran events, the Elms coaches, and lastly, Mr Jones who came in early to help me set up – he gives up a lot of his time to ensure Ashfield Sporting event run so well.
I would also like to thank Cecily, Yuna, Hana and Chloe who helped so much in collecting all the equipment for Sports Day and setting up events. Your dedication to keeping the PE cupboard organised and sorting equipment for classes and our Sporting Events is highly appreciated and makes such a contribution to school life.
A huge congratulations to House Storey who won with 2275 points. House Blackman came second with 2025 points; House Attenborough came third with 2010 points and House Fiennes came fourth with 1920 points.
