ASHA Festive Jolly Jars

Thank you to ASHA for organising our first Festive Jolly Jars event.   There  were some fun filled festive treats to enjoy! Thank you to everyone for taking part. Happy Christmas!

Year 3 Christmas Performance

The Year 3 performance of “Stable Manners” was brilliant! They should be very proud of themselves with learning the songs, lines, dances and actions in such a short space of time. It was lovely to see all the hard work pay off for their final performances to the school and parents.

Year 4 trip to Bhaktivedanta Manor

On Thursday, Year 4 visited Bhaktivedanta Manor in Watford to support their learning in RE. Year 3 Visit to the Library

Year 3 visited Bushey Library on Monday and Wednesday and during this visit, the children came up with their own calligrams based on their favourite thing. They showed good cooperation to create a group acrostic poem using the word Library.   They also had the chance to browse and borrow a book.

4V Science Experiment

Year 4 conducted a very messy, but engaging experiment this week to demonstrate the journey our food takes through the digestive system – in one end and ALL the way out the other.

Tag-Rugby tournament

Last week, we had a fantastic Tag-Rugby Tournament. It was nice to see children displaying good sportsmanship throughout and receiving certificates from the coaches for kindness, respect, cooperation and resilience. Well done Ashfield!

Remembrance Day

Year 6 Trip to Whipsnade Zoo

Year 6 visited Whipsnade Zoo as part of their Science Topic on Evolution and Inheritance and had a fascinating day. They looked     carefully at rhinos, giraffes and penguins to see how the species have adapted to their environments over time.
